Secretary of Labor Hilda SolisAccording to the US Department of Labor, in the week ending June 16, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 387,000, a decrease of 2,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 389,000. The 4-week moving average was 386,250, an increase of 3,500 from the previous week’s revised average of 382,750.

Advance Seasonally Adjusted Insured Unemployment Rate Remains Unchanged

The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 2.6% for the week ending June 9, unchanged from the prior week’s unrevised rate.

Advance Seasonally Adjusted Insured Unemployment Remains Unchanged

The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending June 9 was 3,299,000, unchanged from the preceding week’s revised level. The 4-week moving average was 3,293,750, an increase of 5,250 from the preceding week’s revised average of 3,288,500.
